Beyond the CV
I landed at Heathrow Airport on 21 March 2020 to start my new life in England. A few days later it was announced the country would go into lockdown and the future of my new life became completely unknown. Luckily for me I’ve done this before, though without a pandemic. I spent a summer in Italy without knowing a word of Italian, surviving on high school Spanish to help me get by and thereafter landing myself in Washington D.C. with no direction. Through a bit of quiet tenacity I have found myself in the company of wonderful organisations whenever I’ve been called to a new city. I have built my career as an Administrator at the heart of small businesses in the U.S. and UK and developed a unique sense of patience, resilience, and resourcefulness - soft skills that have proven to be the pillars of my character.
In my private life I am a proud aunt, a fairly decent cook, a lover of compelling stories told through movies and television, and a true believer in the power of kindness.
A CV is very ridged so please scroll down for the human side of my work and volunteer history.
EXPERIENCE HISTORY BEYOND THE CV

KINGFIELD ELECTRONICS
2022-Present
I knew nothing about PCB contract manufacturing and felt intimidated to plunge into uncharted territory but at this time my life I had no other choice. I felt entirely inadequate. Luckily, the team I joined was kind and patient and they saw something in me in that allowed me to thrive. Before long I was taking the lead on small projects, earning praise from customers, and teaching my colleagues new tricks that would make our jobs easier. Eventually, I learned about the work and industry through exposure and my title progressed with proven capabilities.
Co-Founder
KINDRED CO.
2020-2023
Kindred Co. was an idea my sister had thrown around for years but was apprehensive to make it a reality. During an empassioned explanation for the need of this service I insisted she take the leap. With my years of experience in small business administration I would take over the details and she and our other sister could run with her creative vision. So we started a business! The mission of Kindred Co was about gifting with intention. We curated gift boxes with items sourced from BIPOC businesses, often overlooked by wholesale buyers and investors. Through word of mouth we were lucky to work with some great non-profit organisations across the country to provide private donor and event gifts. As the company grew we had a choice to make, to give up job security and go all-in or to close the business. As I lived overseas and my sisters both hand young families to think about the most secure move was to close the business to focus what was in front of us. It was an incredible learning experience and I am grateful to have been part of this mission.

IZZY’S ICE CREAM
2019-2020
When I joined Izzy’s Ice Cream they were in midst of a transition from neighbourhood ice cream shop to scaling up with a contract manufacturer. They already had an impressive local reach supplying the best restaurants in the area and were stocked in Whole Foods as a local spotlight. However, the company had ambitions to be on the same shelves as Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen Dazs nationwide. When I joined the company I took over liaising production with the manufacturer for wholesale business, maintaining minimum on hand stock levels for the in-house kitchen, and I learned how assist with basic everyday accounting tasks. It was an incredible place to work which I had to leave due to moving to the UK. Unfortunately the business did not survive the pandemic.

VU FAMILY
2018
When my father died I felt a call to move back home to Minnesota where my family lived. In 2017 I worked entirely remotely but knew my time at Outerloop had come to a natural end. At the same time my sister and her family also wanted to move closer to family but couldn’t do so without the assurance of childcare as she and her husband traveled regularly for work. I was happy to help my family so I spent a year caring for and teaching two young boys.
Executive Assistant
OUTERLOOP GROUP
2011-2017
It was my childhood dream to work in the music industry and I was incredibly lucky that Mike Mowery, owner of the company, took a chance on me as a recent University graduate with no experience but a lot of heart. For six years I worked with an amazing crew and loved every day of my job. These are a couple of my favourite campaigns:
Refused x Migrant Offshore Aid Station
Relatively unknown in 1998 when they disbanded, Swedish punk band Refused, reunited at Coachella in 2012 and had every current and former punk kid buzzing. Their legend quietly grew between underground music fanatics over those 14 years and inspired new generations of musicians screaming about humanist ideals. The band released the long awaited follow up album ‘Freedom’ in 2015 and donated 100% of VIP proceeds of their US tour to non-profit organisation Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS). As a member of their management team I maintained the relationship between the band and MOAS. The transaction of a donation was simple but the effort to build a genuine relationship with an organisation and create meaningful connection was the reason for its lasting impact. In the end the band raised over $3,000 for MOAS.
Periphery, Juggernaut: Alpha and Omega
Periphery are well known in the progressive metal genre for their technical prowess and polyrhythmic time signatures. They are also one of few bands in the heavy music industry to own all of their master recordings so when they decided to release two full-length albums simultaneously our team had the task of managing five licensing deals in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and Europe. As Outerloop became the central cog, collecting and disseminating information to the dozens of parties involved, I was brought onto the project to ensure it was moving at pace for the scheduled release date, ensuring all territories received deliverables in secure and timely fashion, and to keep all lines of communication flowing despite timezone differences. Outerloop was a small independent company and this was the most ambitious release in the company’s history. The double albums Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega debuted at numbers 22 and 25, respectively, on the Billboard Top 200 in the US and solidified the band as a household name in heavy music throughout the world.

HOBBIES
I love traveling, even locally, but my favourite place to go is home to Minnesota where my family live.
Always one to stray from a recipe I find myself most creative in the kitchen and I love trying new foods.
I recently got into cross stitching and embroidery after picking up a kit on a whim. This is a hobby my grandma also had and it has helped me stay connected to her memory.
